On Saturday, August 9, the World’s Fair Exhibition Hall was buzzing with energy as hundreds of residents attended the annual Neighborhood Resource Fair.
More than 90 organizations including City and County departments, nonprofits, and community partners came together to answer questions and connect neighbors with the services they need most.
Residents had the opportunity to explore booths on housing, safety, health, workforce training, youth programs, and much more. The event also featured family-friendly activities and on-the-spot resources, creating a welcoming space for residents to engage, and build relationships.
These post-event survey responses highlight the Neighborhood Resource Fair’s impact:
Over half of attendees said they discovered a new service or program they plan to use.
Nearly 90% rated the event positively, with an overall satisfaction score of 4.41 out of 5.
Most attendees said parking and accessibility were adequate.
93% of booth participants said they would attend the fair again next year.
Attendees connected with new organizations, networked with local partners, and learned about free services.
Suggestions for improvement included streamlining the registration process for booths vendors, adding clearer signage inside the venue, and broadening the diversity of booths.
Attendees also shared their experiences in their own words:
“Great engagement from participants and booth vendors.”
“I was able to connect with different organizations while there. I learned about new orgs as well.”
“This was my first time attending as a booth participant. I think everything went great.”
These responses confirm that the fair not only connected residents to new resources but also created opportunities for lasting community impact.
A special thank you goes out to the Office of Neighborhood Empowerment for leading the event, along with all of the City staff, partner agencies, and volunteers who made the fair a success.
