The Greenways Commission was created to study the needs and desires of city residents and to promote the development of new greenways and the maintenance of existing ones.
APPOINTMENT OF BOARD MEMBERS
The Commission consists of up to 20 members who reside in Knox County, but the majority of the members must be residents in the City of Knoxville. Members are appointed by the Mayor for three-year terms.
MEETINGS SCHEDULE
The Greenways Commission meets on the second Tuesday in the months of February, April, June, August, October and December. Meetings are from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. and typically held at Lakeshore Park Administrative Building at 5930 Lyons View Pike, however, meeting locations may vary. Please check with Parks & Greenways Coordinator Tim Hester ([email protected]) for confirmation of Zoom, and/or location and time.
Meeting on April 11, 2023 has been canceled.
