March Madness may be looming at the collegiate level but here in Knoxville several teams have already earned their championships winning the titles in the city's recreation leagues.

City basketball tournaments follow a two-month season that begins in December. The City youth tournament winners go on to play the Knox County basketball league winners in March.
The City also announced winners from the City adult basketball tournament, and the winners of the 2009 City-County Basketball Challenge winners today.
The City youth basketball leagues had more than 200 teams with an estimated 2,000 players participated this year.
League sign ups for the 2009/2010 City basketball leagues will begin in October 2009.
