The City Youth Jump Rope Showcase will be heldat 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 17, 2017 at the Dr. E.V. Davidson Community Center, 3124 Wilson Ave.
Approximately 75 youth participating in the City’s free After School Program will showcase jump rope skills they have learned through a new “Youth Rec Outreach and Learnin’ the Ropes” program.
Nick Woodard, international jump rope champion, and instructors he has trained have been teaching jump rope skills to kids ages 6-12 years old at eight of the City’s recreation centers for the last eight weeks.
Woodard will also perform at this showcase, which is quite the treat as he incorporates flips and other impressive moves in the air into his routine.
