The City of Knoxville Parks and Recreation Department will open its two outdoor pools this Saturday, May 26, 2012 at 11 a.m. Jump in and enjoy two of the last remaining public pools in the greater Knoxville area.
Inskip Pool (4204 Bruhin Road) is a 285,000-gallon pool with two low dives and a high dive. Inskip Park was renovated in Fall 2011 and now features a greenway walking loop and new playground. The pool area also hosts a sand volleyball court, concession stands, and three picnic shelters. Admission is $3 per person. To contact Inskip Pool, please call 865-687-9919.
Ed Cothren Pool (1737 Reynolds St.) is a 275,000-gallon pool with one diving board and an accessible ramp. The pool's enclosure area houses two shelters and concession stands. Admission is $1.50 per person. To contact Ed Cothren Pool, please call 865-546-8796.

The aquatics division of Knoxville Parks and Recreation also holds canoe tours every Saturday through August.
On these canoe tours, City aquatics officials take participants on the Holston, Clinch, and Tennessee rivers. Cost is $20 per person for the shorter canoe trips and $40 for the longer routes. Group rates are available. No experience is required, but all participants must be able to swim.
