Mayor Bill Haslam hosted a conversation with Senator Bob Corker at a luncheon Monday at the Jacob Building in Chilhowee Park. "Most national issues ultimately touch those of us who live and work in Knoxville," Mayor Haslam said. "This is a great opportunity to discuss items that are on the national agenda."
Senator Corker has served as Mayor of Chattanooga and as Tennessee Commissioner of Finance and Administration.
The luncheon was the third Mayor Haslam has hosted with a Tennessee leader to emphasize the importance of partnership on the federal, state and local level. His previous guests were Governor Phil Bredesen and Senator Lamar Alexander.
