Knoxville will mark the beginning of the 2025 tree-planting season with an Arbor Day celebration at Malcolm Martin Park on Monday, Nov. 3, 2025, at 1:30 p.m.
The event is organized by the City’s
Urban Forestry Division in partnership with
Trees Knoxville, the Knoxville Tree Board, Knoxville Utilities Board and other local organizations.
The program includes a proclamation presentation and a poem by Knoxville Poet Laureate Linda Parsons.
Arbor Day serves as a reminder of the critical role trees play in sustaining our community by improving air quality, providing shade, supporting wildlife, and beautifying neighborhoods.
In recent years, the City has expanded its tree-planting and urban forestry efforts through community partnerships, strategic investments, and a growing inventory of public trees.
"Each tree we plant today grows into tomorrow’s cleaner air, stronger community, and greener city," said Kasey Krouse, Urban Forester for the City of Knoxville. “Today we celebrate trees and those that promote our urban forest. We have some of the most dedicated City employees, partners, and community members that help promote our vibrant urban forest in Knoxville.”
