Doug is a Knoxville native and has lived in District 3 his entire life. He is a graduate of the Knoxville City School System at Fulton High School, as well as the Knox Electrical J.A.T.C. Program, and he co-founded Lloyd’s Electric Service with his father in 1982. He continues to run the business as President on a daily basis. Doug is the winner of the Pinnacle award for excellence in business and a graduate of the Crestcom Bulletproof Leadership program. He is currently in his second term with the Knox County Board of Zoning Appeals.
Doug and his wife Debbie and have been married for 48 years, and they have 1 son and 4 grandchildren. When not working, they enjoy time on the water, fishing and boating.
The construction industry and the community have been very good to his family and to his business. In return, Doug likes to give back and support the local community whenever he can. He feels like that he can bring a common sense approach to City Council and a stronger voice for the people of 3rd District.
Doug Lloyd was elected to represent the 3rd District on Knoxville City Council on November 4, 2025. Doug Lloyd was sworn in on December 20, 2025.
