On Thursday, July 18, 2019, PARC will hold its second-quarter meeting at the newly renovated historic chapel on the campus of Knoxville College.
PARC members will address cases received by the Internal Affairs Unit; these cases involve officer-involved shooting, excessive force, and unbecoming conduct complaints. Knoxville Police Department staff will provide a training session on crisis intervention.
In addition, the meeting’s agenda includes committee business, speakers who have requested to address the committee, and an open forum (limited to three minutes per speaker). To sign up to speak, contact Ola Blackmon-McBride at 865-215-3966.
Anyone needing a disability accommodation to be able to attend should contact Stephanie Cook at
[email protected] or 865-215-2034. For an English interpreter, contact the Title VI coordinator Tatia Harris at 865-215-2831.
Parking will be available near the campus entrance and adjacent to the chapel. Attendants will be on site to assist in parking directions.
Residents with concerns about crime and safety in the City of Knoxville are invited to attend PARC’s quarterly meetings, which are open to the general public and held in varying locations around the city. PARC’s primary objective is to strengthen the relationships and communication between the KPD and Knoxville residents.
