City Holds Budget Retreat Feb. 19. 2004

February 19, 2004
- Mayor Bill Haslam met with City Council members and City Directors today to discuss administration policy and the budget for the new administration.

The Haslam administration's goals include: 
• Stronger and safer neighborhoods
• More and better jobs
• Embrace cultural diversity
• Efficient, accountable and responsive government

Budgetary issues discussed consisted of:
• Health Care
• Pension Costs
• Worker's Compensation
• Salary Increases
•  Previous Commitments
