At 9:16 PM, The Knoxville Fire Department responded to a reported house fire at 2625 Bafford Place in South Knoxville. Upon the initial KFD unit's arrival, a small fire was located near the home's fireplace. The fire had extended into the attic space. KFD crews were able to extinguish the fire quickly.
The home has suffered moderate smoke, water, and fire damage.
All occupants and several dogs were able to escape uninjured.
Knoxville Fire investigators are on the scene working to determine a cause.
The American Red Cross is assisting the occupants.
