Kid A’ Riffic Fun in the Park, sponsored by Home Federal Bank, kicks off another season of free family fun on June 3, 2026, at Chilhowee Park.
The first of seven events held at parks across Knoxville includes a “touch a truck” area where participants can interact with big trucks and other City work vehicles.
Produced by the City’s
Office of Special Events, Kid A’ Riffic Fun in the Park includes free games, crafts, hands-on activities and giveaways for children age 2-12. Activities are provided by City departments–Parks and Recreation, Knoxville Arts Center, Knoxville Fire Department and Knoxville Police Department–as well as community partners, including Knoxville Area Muse Knoxville, Knox County Public Library, Women’s Basketball Hall of Fame, East Tennessee History Center and Keep Knoxville Beautiful. Participation is free.
Events are held 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. Wednesdays in June and July (except July 1 and 29), at different parks—some favorites and some new this year. The Special Events office will provide clues then reveal the identities of the new venues on their
Facebook page later this month.
