Meet Amanda Koenig!
Amanda is a manager in Civil Engineering, overseeing the construction of
Capital Improvement Projects.
Her to-do list currently includes streetscapes along Sevier Avenue, repair work on the Gay Street Bridge, Pleasant Ridge Road Phase II, and Augusta Quarry Amenities Phase II, and pavilion projects within the Urban Wilderness.
Amanda grew up sailing off the coast in Massachusetts (insert that Christopher Cross earworm
here).
After getting her degree in Civil Engineering from Roger Williams University in Rhode Island, Amanda joined AmeriCorps and moved to Knoxville.
Her assignment with Parks and Rec found her working on greenways and coordinating recycling efforts in parks.
We daresay she got hooked on public service. She’s worked for the City 11 of her 12 years in East Tennessee.
