Several neighborhoods across the city celebrated National Night Out (NNO) on October 7, 2025.
NNO is a time for neighbors and first responders to connect and to get to know each other better.
City leaders worked with several neighborhood groups for our second annual city-wide kick-off celebration.
The kickoff celebration was held at Tank Strickland Park and was planned in coordination with multiple neighborhoods associations in East Knoxville:
• Burlington Residents Association
• Cold Springs Neighborhood Watch
• Michael Meadowview Neighborhood Watch
• Parkridge Community Organization
• Town Hall East

An estimated 200 people came out to meet our police officers and firefighters, explore City fire trucks and police vehicles, visit with the City’s Mounted Patrol, and enjoy games and activities provided through Parks and Recreation’s KORE program.
“Not every neighborhood is able to plan their own celebration,” said Mayor Indya Kincannon. “But the Kick-off Celebration is designed for anyone in the City to attend. It was great to spend the evening with so many neighbors.”
