Knoxville Police Department Officer Todd Hardin has been named the Child Passenger Safety Technician of the Year by the Tennessee Highway Safety Office.
Officer Hardin has been a Child Passenger Safety Technician since June 2013.
Officer Hardin helps with monthly child seat checkpoints sponsored by KPD in addition to community events designed to educate the public about proper child passenger safety.
Steve Dillard with the Tennessee Highway Safety Office presented the award. Deputy Chief Ron Green represented KPD.
