Due to a fire that occurred Thursday evening, the City’s Solid Waste Management Facility, 1033 Elm St., will be closed Friday, March 16.
The closure will remain in effect until City workers are able to assess and properly clear any damages that occurred inside the Transfer Station.
The Solid Waste Management Facility is where individuals and businesses can dispose of a wide variety of solid waste materials: tires (limit of only 4 a day), building materials, construction / demolition debris, and most other materials not permitted in daily garbage collections.
