• Free Nights - Parking garages are free Monday - Friday from 6pm to 7am unless otherwise posted for special events. If you enter before 6pm, an attendant is on duty until 8pm to accept payment for time used before 6pm. Special event parking rates may apply as posted.
• Free Weekends - All public parking garages are free on Saturday and Sunday, except Market Square Garage which is a flat-rate of $3 on Saturdays. Special event parking rates may apply as posted.

• Free 24-hour Parking – Magnolia parking lots under I-40 are free daily, 24 hrs. a day.

• Free Nights - Parking lots are free overnight on Monday - Friday from 6pm to 7am. Special event parking rates may apply as posted.

ACCESSIBLE PARKING
Accessible parking is available at designated on-street locations for free with a valid placard or license plate. All Accessible parking is limited to the time posted for the on-street parking zone. Anyone with a valid ADA placard or license plate may also park for free in any standard on-street parking space for the designated time limit. Accessible parking is not allowed in commercial zones unless you have a commercial plate or in no parking zones. Parking is also free in City garages and parking lots for anyone with a valid ADA placard or license plate.

The City of Knoxville is excited to partner with ParkMobile to make on-street parking downtown easier and more convenient. The mobile system is already in use in several cities and locations, including on UT’s campus.

DOWNTOWN WORKER DISCOUNT PARKING PROGRAM
Lower wage, downtown workers are disproportionately impacted by parking fees. The City of Knoxville through our parking operator, the Public Building Authority (PBA), offers low cost and free parking options within the downtown area. The City is also offering a program to income eligible downtown workers with an affordable option for monthly parking in City garages.

PARKING PERMITS
Within the downtown area to reserve or remove parking spaces for activities that may not abide by the posted parking regulations. Examples of these activities include, but are not limited to residential move-in and move-out, construction activities, temporary storage units, special events, etc. Without a temporary parking permit the vehicle could be subject to a parking citation or being towed.

PAY PARKING CITATION
Parking tickets received in the City of Knoxville can be paid online through the QR code on the citation. If you wish to appeal your citation through City County, you must schedule the appeal online within 10 days of the citation date.
