Directions: James White Parkway to Summit Hill Exit. Right off exit, right on Central Avenue, right on Magnolia, left on Winona Street. Two blocks park will be on left and right side of street.

Ashley Nicole Dream Playground

Ashley Nicole Dream Playground, Knoxville's first totally accessible playground is located in Caswell Park, across from the softball complex. Included with the large playground are accessible restrooms and a shelter.

Families can enjoy the beautiful playground, gardens and large grassy open space. The First Creek Greenway connects with the park and accommodates wheelchairs, walkers and runners, cyclists, skateboards and roller blades.

HISTORY OF THE PLAYGROUND

The playground opened in 2005 and was named in honor of Ashley Nicole Manes, who suffered injuries in a 1999 automobile accident that left her paralyzed.

PARK RULES & REGULATIONS


1.) For the protection of our park and the safety of its users, the following are prohibited:
  • No alcoholic beverages
  • No open fires
  • No hitting golf balls anywhere in the park
  • No motorized vehicles in park
  • No equestrian activity
2.) Per city ordinance, all animals must be maintained on a leash. (No pets are allowed in the ballfield complex.)
3.) Please be respectful of other trail users
4.) Please help to keep our parks beautiful by disposing trash in proper receptacles.
5.) Hours - Open dawn to dusk unless otherwise posted.
