TN Theatre Shows Off Renovation

Posted: 05/13/2005
The Tennessee Theatre will host its third Community Open House of 2005 on Sunday, May 22, from 1pm - 4pm. Close to 6,000 people have participated in these self-guided tours since the Theatre's first Open House in January.

This free Open House provides Knoxvillians an opportunity to see the magnificence of the $23.5 million renovation.

Information about the restoration will be posted throughout the Theatre and select backstage areas. Theatre staff will be on hand to answer questions as visitors enjoy their self-guided tour.

To authenticate the Tennessee Theatre experience, Bill Snyder will entertain visitors at the Mighty Wurlitzer Organ. The newly renovated concession stand will also be open to serve visitors.

The Community Open House event is sponsored by the Real Yellow Pages and Coca-Cola.
