Ride a KAT Bus for free to the polls on Election Day
Ride with KATIn an effort to make voting in Knoxville as easy and barrier-free as possible, Mayor Madeline Rogero and the Knoxville Transportation Authority (KTA) last year approved fare-free service on all KAT buses on Election Days for the duration of Mayor Rogero’s term in office. KAT will offer free rides on Tuesday, Nov. 5, the day of the City General Election.

To plan a trip to a voting precinct location, stop by KAT’s Customer Service Counter staff at Knoxville Station, call KAT’s information line at 865-637-3000, or download the KATbus Tracker App on an Android or iPhone smart phone.

City Council Districts MapCity Council is the Legislative body of the City of Knoxville. City voters will elect four new members to the nine-member Knoxville City Council in 2019. MUNICIPAL COURT JUDGE ELECTION


City voters will vote for a Municipal Court Judge in 2019. The position is not term limited and Judge John R. Rosson, Jr. holds the office currently. Municipal Court, also known as City Court, is a limited jurisdiction court authorized under Tennessee Code Annotated and the City of Knoxville Charter. With original jurisdiction over all cases involving violations of City Ordinances, the City Judge has authority to assess fines up to $50. About 300 Tennessee cities have Municipal Courts with varying authority and jurisdiction.
