Dut to utility maintenance, KUB will have lane closures on W. Church Ave., Cherokee Blvd., Paris Rd., and Piney Grove Church Rd.

Downtown Century II Utilities Upgrade Project – W. Church Avenue Lane Closure [June 22] – KUB and its contractor will implement a lane closure of on eastbound lane of W. Church Avenue between Henley Street and Locust Street from 9-11 a.m., on Wednesday, June 22, as work continues on the Downtown Century II Utilities Upgrade project. One eastbound lane will be closed, while one eastbound and one westbound lane remain open to traffic. 
  
(West Knoxville) Cherokee Boulevard Lane Closure [June 22] – KUB crews will reduce a short section of Cherokee Boulevard to one alternating lane of traffic between Chickasaw Road and Scenic Drive from 8:30 a.m. – 3 p.m., on Wednesday, June 22, as work is performed on the wastewater collection system in the area. The westbound lane will be closed, while the eastbound lane will remain open and be used to alternate traffic. Flaggers will be on site to assist with traffic control, and driveway access will be maintained. Thursday, June 23, will be used as a rain date if necessary. 
  
(North Knoxville) Paris Road Lane Closure [June 22] – KUB contract crews will reduce a section of Paris Road to one alternating lane of traffic between Tillery Road and Oakhill Drive from 7 a.m. – 4 p.m. on Wednesday, June 22, as work is performed on the water distribution system in the area. The southbound lane will be closed while the northbound lane remains open and is used to alternate traffic. Flaggers will be on site to assist with traffic control. 
  
(West Knoxville) Piney Grove Church Road Lane Closure [June 22] – KUB contract crews will reduce a section of Piney Grove Church Road to one alternating lane of traffic between Helmbolt Road and Amherst Road from 7 a.m. – 4 p.m. on Wednesday, June 22, as work is performed on the water distribution system in the area. The northbound lane will be closed while the southbound lane remains open and is used to alternate traffic. Flaggers will be on site to assist with traffic control. 

(Downtown Knoxville) Multiple Shifting Road Closures [June 22-23] – KUB crews will implement multiple road closures on downtown streets that will shift as work progresses. Between 11 p.m., Wednesday, June 22, and 5 a.m., June 23, crews will close the below sections of roadways as work is performed on the electric distribution system: 
• Market Street between Clinch Avenue and Union Avenue 
• Union Avenue between S. Gay Street and State Street 
• State Street between Union Avenue and Commerce venue (previously closed for City of Knoxville Streetscapes work) 
These sections of roadways will NOT be closed at the same time, and motorists are advised to use caution in the area. Follow-up advisories will be issued as necessary. 

Some listed closures may extend beyond the scheduled times depending on the conditions encountered during excavation and construction. Appropriate traffic control measures will be in place at each location to assist motorists traveling in these areas. Due to the ongoing presence of workers and equipment, motorists are advised to use caution and expect temporary delays in these areas.
