Like most all of us who inhabit this region, we are immigrants or descendants of immigrants. We are a diverse membership that traces its evolution from the Arab World to Southern Appalachia. We are Egyptian, Iraqi, Jordanian, Lebanese, Palestinian, Syrian heritage, and more. We are, for the most part, Christian and Muslims. Like many others who have come to be here, we have brought our traditions, been influenced, and have influenced. And like most people living in our area, it is great to be a Tennessee Vol! The Arab American Club seeks to provide a bridge of our heritage to our members while advancing cultural understanding to our Knoxville community.
