brush collectionThe Public Service Department crews collect brush and other household yard waste every other week on pre-set, fixed schedules.

Call 3-1-1 or 865-215-4311 for a Brush Collection Schedule.

Yard waste should be placed next to the street in an unobstructed area and kept separate from other trash.

On each two-week cycle, a 6' x 6' x 6' pile of brush can be collected from March through October.

During the annual fall leaf collection season, brush pick-up is suspended. Leaf season runs from November through February.

Knox County residents can obtain a burning permit, by contacting the Knox County Department of Air Quality Management at 865-215-5900.

Last year the City collected over 34,000 tons of yard waste.

Christmas Trees

Christmas tree collection in the City is the same process as for brush collection. After all decorations have been removed, trees should be placed at the street for collection.

To learn your next scheduled brush pickup date call 3-1-1 or 865-215-4311.
