Posted: 12/16/2013
Rick Terry Jewelry is the first-place winner in the Christmas in the City "Window Wonderland" decorating contest, announced by Knoxville Mayor Madeline Rogero and Director of Special Events Judith Foltz this afternoon on Market Square.

In its second year of being promoted among downtown businesses, the contest had 30 participants, including restaurants, shops, professional offices and even the Downtown YMCA, in locations ranging from World's Fair Park to Gay Street to the Old City.

There are five contest prizes: First, second and third place winners chosen by a panel of volunteer judges; a special Best-Themed award; and a Public's Favorite, as voted on by the general public through the City's Special Events Facebook Page.

Rick Terry Jewelry, 618 S. Gay St., was selected as first place overall for the best decorated window.

Bradley's Chocolate Factory, 1060 World's Fair Park Drive, is the second place overall winner, and Coldstream Market, 34 Market Square, is the third place overall winner.

The Public's Favorite winner is Robin Easter Design, 132 W. Jackson Ave.

The Best "White Christmas" Themed winner is Rococo Boutique, 2 Market Square.
