September 11, 2012 - On Monday the City of Knoxville's Traffic Engineering crews and a contracted vendor installed multi-space meters along the 100 block of South Gay Street as part of a pilot project.
The meters will accept bills and credit cards, with a two-hour limit at a cost of $1 per hour.
Two units will be installed along with signage directing parkers to the multi-space meters. These are the first multi-space meters installed on City streets in Knoxville.
