It's a Holiday Bonanza at the Library

It's the holiday season and Knox County Public Library is celebrating with programs for children of all ages.

A Visit from Santa
Boys and Girls, Santa Claus is coming to the Knox County Public Library just for you!!! Join us for a visit with the "jolly ole elf" as each child has an opportunity to sit and chat with him. Children are encouraged to bring their Christmas Lists to share (Santa will even take them back to the North Pole if you wish!). Parents are encouraged to bring their cameras to capture that special moment of your child with Santa.

December 15, Carter Branch at 2:30 p.m.
December 15, North Knoxville Branch at 6:00 p.m.
December 16, Lawson McGhee Library at 11:00 a.m.
December 16, Murphy Branch at 3:30 p.m.
December 17, Karns Branch at 10:30 a.m.
December 17, Corryton Branch at 3:00 p.m.
December 17, Halls Branch at 6:00 p.m.
December 18, Bearden Branch at 11:00 a.m.
December 18, Burlington Branch at 3:30 p.m.

Crafts with the Girl Scouts
December 12, Howard Pinkston Branch Library at 2:30 p.m.
Junior Girl Scout Troop 182 will host a holiday reading and craft program for children in kindergarten through fifth grade. The girls will read some of their favorite winter holiday stories and then assist the children in making a holiday craft that can be taken home.

Gift Box Workshop
December 14, Sequoyah Branch Library at 6 p.m.
Learn how to make gift boxes out of greeting cards! All supplies will be provided. Class size is limited; please call 525-1541 to register. Recommended for ages 8 and up.

Gingerbread House Workshops
December 17, 10: 30 a.m. and December 18, 2 p.m. at Burlington Branch Library
Dreaming of gingerbread houses this year? Head to the library for a fun and easy workshop for the whole family! $10 fee includes all materials. Space is limited and registration is required. Please call 525-5431 by December 10.

Chrismukkah Party
December 22, Lawson McGhee Library at 6:30 p.m.
Join us for stories, music, a craft, and refreshments celebrating the holiday season--wear your Santa hat or bring your dreidel!
