Torrance Jones, 27, Sought for Attempted Murder Following Shooting on London Circle 
UPDATE (February 15, 2023, 10:45 a.m.): Torrance Jones, who was wanted on multiple outstanding warrants, including attempted second-degree murder from a shooting that happened on London Circle on January 22, was arrested in Detroit, Michigan. Jones will soon be extradited back to Knoxville.

At around 3 a.m. on Sunday morning, Knoxville Police Department officers responded to the 2800 block of London Circle, off of Cecil Avenue, on the report of a shooting. A 26-year-old man was found on scene suffering from a gunshot wound to the lower body. He was transported from the scene to a local hospital, where he is receiving treatment for injuries that are believed to be non-life-threatening.

Violent Crimes investigators have since identified the suspect and obtained warrants charging Torrance Jones with attempted second-degree murder and weapon charges. Jones, 27, is not in custody at this time. Jones is also sought on domestic assault and robbery charges from a prior unrelated incident.

It was also revealed that the victim, identified as William Weaver, was in possession of a stolen firearm during the incident. Warrants were placed on Weaver charging him with theft of a firearm and possession of a firearm while intoxicated. Those will be served upon his release from the hospital.
