Knoxville Office of FBI and KPD investigating second bank robbery on Downtown West Boulevard

The Knoxville Office of the FBI along with the Knoxville Police Department are investigating the robbery of the First Horizon Bank located at 1815 Downtown West Boulevard. 

According to the preliminary investigation, at approximately 11:20 this morning a white male entered the bank and approached the teller with a note. The male handed the note to the teller and demanded money. The teller complied with the demands of the suspect. The suspect fled the bank in a late model silver Buick Enclave. Responding Knoxville Police Department officers located the Buick abandoned in a nearby shopping center parking lot. According to witness statements, the suspect was seen fleeing the vehicle on foot towards Gleason Road. 

The suspect is described as a white male weighing at least 250 pounds and is 5 feet 9 inches to 5 feet 11 inches tall. The suspect was wearing a red poncho-style rain jacket during the robbery.
