Marble Alley Opens in Downtown Knoxville
Knoxville architect and developer Buzz Goss welcomes supporters before the Marble Alley ribbon-cutting on March 2. At right are City Council members George Wallace and Duane Grieve.
It's official: Marble Alley Lofts, downtown Knoxville's newest apartment community, has opened.
Wednesday morning, Buzz Goss and the Marble Alley development team, along with Knoxville Mayor Madeline Rogero and Knox County Mayor Tim Burchett, cut a ribbon and officially opened the 248-unit development.
Check out this video from the ribbon-cutting and hear Goss explain why Marble Alley is unique:

Marble Alley is the first major new-construction residential development since the resurgence of downtown began more than a decade ago. It's creatively designed and offers such amenities as a 24-hour clubhouse, with a pool and fitness center. It'll soon be home to 300 new downtown residents.
But it's also a strategically-located new downtown player. Marble Alley fills what had been an empty gap between the lively Market Square and Gay Street area and the expanding Old City.
Congratulations to the Marble Alley development and management team!

Mayors Rogero and Burchett exchange fist bumps.
Marble Alley amenities include a game room, fitness room and pool.
Marble Alley Lofts officially opened with Wednesday's ribbon-cutting.
