Mayor Rogero Exchanges Ideas at East Towne Business Alliance's Monthly Meeting
Mayor Madeline Rogero met March 2 with members of the East Towne Business Alliance.

Great to meet with members of the East Towne Business Alliance this morning at New Harvest Park!

Mayor Madeline Rogero was today's speaker, and she was joined by business owners, merchants, neighborhood leaders and City Council members Daniel Brown, Nick Della Volpe, Finbarr Saunders and George Wallace.

Lots of investment and economic activity in the East Knoxville business corridor: The Knoxville Center mall is the 14th largest property taxpayer Knox County. The East Towne Trade Area pulls consumers in from an eight-county region. And consumers spend $320 million a year in the area.

With infrastructure for major economic activity already in place - and various improvements being made - the area is promising for expanding retail and a whole range of mixed uses.

So get involved and share your ideas for growing the East Knoxville business corridor. The alliance meets at 8 a.m. on the first Wednesday of each month at New Harvest.
