Navy Week Continues: Great to Visit with Adm. Moulton, a Tennessee Native & Deputy Surgeon General!

Great to visit today with Navy Rear Admiral Terry J. Moulton, a Nashville native who served on the USS Nimitz in support of Operation Desert Storm and as a commanding officer at multiple medical centers. Adm. Moulton now serves as Deputy Surgeon General and as Deputy Chief, Bureau of Medicine and Surgery.

The East Tennessee Military Affairs Council hosted a breakfast this morning with Adm. Moulton at the Naval Operations Support Center on Alcoa Highway.

Adm. Moulton is in Knoxville as part of Navy Week, which kicked off Monday with a fine midday concert performance on Market Square by the Navy Band and concludes this weekend with the Blue Angels headlining the Smoky Mountain Air Show.

In-between, sailors will be building a Habitat for Humanity house and meeting with hundreds of schoolchildren, veterans and civic group members. The Navy's Leap Frogs parachute team will be performing several jumps, including a landing on the 50 yard line of Neyland Stadium during Saturday's Orange and White Game.

It's an honor for Knoxville to have been selected as one of 15 cities to host Navy Week this year. Give a walm welcome to sailors from the USS Tennessee and the USS Constitution as you see them around Knoxville all week.
