Hundreds Attend Knoxville PrideFest Parade
There was a great turnout for the Knoxville PrideFest Parade in Downtown Knoxville on Saturday, June 20, 2015. Following the parade, attendees ventured to World's Fair Park to enjoy music, food and vendors at the Knoxville PrideFest.
Vice Mayor Nick Pavlis, Councilman Finbarr Saunders, Deputy to the Mayor and Chief Policy Officer Bill Lyons and Councilman Marshall Stair marched in the PrideFest Parade
Knoxville residents Sophy Jesty and Valeria Tanco (in photo) were the parade's Grand Marshals. Jesty and Tanco are two of the plaintiffs in the U.S. Supreme Court decision on the legality of same-sex marriage.
