First-day Photo Gallery of Newly-opened Top Floors of State Street Garage

Here's the scene from early this morning, as the fencing was removed and the two new decks of the State Street Garage opened up to parkers:

The expanded State Street Garage now accommodates 1,600 vehicles.

A new elevator services the rear of the garage and connects to Central Street - a major step forward in terms of accessibility. Someone can move from Gay Street to Central, using a pedetrian walkway over State Street, and avoiding the steep climb up or down the hill.
