KPD seeking information regarding hit-and-run involving serious injury
The Knoxville Police Department is seeking information regarding a hit-and-run that occurred on Saturday, March 14 on Hill Avenue. On that day at around 12:42 a.m., a Joyride golf cart was traveling westbound on Hill Avenue just west of Hazen Street when an unidentified vehicle traveling the same direction struck the rear of the golf cart and fled the scene. The suspect vehicle, which should have visible front-end damage, appears to be a blue or dark colored four-door sedan.
The driver of the golf cart, a 51-year-old female, was transported to the UT Hospital via AMR with severe injuries that are not life-threatening. If anyone has any information they are urged to call 865-215-7370 or the Crime Hotline at 865-215-7212. Tipsters can remain anonymous.
