Posted: 07/22/2021
Get vaccinated at Knoxville Transit CenterKnoxville Area Transit (KAT) and Knox County Health Department are hosting a free COVID-19 vaccination event at Knoxville Station Transit Center’s Community Room on Monday, August 2 from 9am – 1pm, and Tuesday, August 3 from 12pm-4pm.  The transit center is located at 301 E. Church Avenue and is accessible by all KAT bus routes.

The Knox County Health Department will be providing Johnson & Johnson vaccines and no appointment is necessary.  Getting a vaccine should take no longer than 30 minutes.

“With COVID-19 cases on the rise again, the timing for this event couldn’t be better,” says Isaac Thorne, Director of Transit for the City of Knoxville. “We know many of our passengers may not have had time to get a vaccine, but having them available at Knoxville Station can make it easy and convenient, as they pass through the station on their regular commutes.”

The vaccinations are open to everyone, and no appointment is necessary.  For those in the downtown area, the Blue Line Trolley travels directly to the station, and for those not taking transit, parking is available at the Civic Coliseum Garage.

Masks are required while riding KAT and at Knoxville Station Transit Center.
