ON YOUR FIRST DAY


The first day at a new job can be overwhelming, but we hope to make things easier with this checklist of information below. And remember, you can always contact the Employee Benefits Department at 865-215-2111 or CityBenefits@knoxvilletn.gov or stop by the Employee Benefits Department office for help. We are located in Room 504 on the 5th floor of the City County Building.

What to bring on your first day
• I-9 identification  - View Acceptable Documents [PDF]
• Voided check for direct deposit

Where to park - View Downtown Parking Map [PDF]
• Paid parking is available in the Dwight Kessel Parking Garage or 
• Parking will be FREE if you park at the Knoxville Civic Coliseum and Auditorium parking garage and ride the trolley to the City County Building.
