Safety Complex Updates

Welcome to the City Communications update page on the approximate $70 million transformation of the former St. Mary’s Hospital campus into a new complex for the Police and Fire Departments, E911, Pension System offices and City Court operations.

Visit here for regular updates, photos and videos on the project, as well as information on Lincoln Memorial University's $40 million investment in new nursing and dental schools at the site.

The City's new safety complex is scheduled to be substantially completed by late 2022, with staff move-ins to follow incrementally. Learn more at www.knoxvilletn.gov/safetycomplex.
