Three Shot, One Killed in Shooting on Parkview Avenue
Victims Identified from Shooting on Parkview Avenue (Friday, October 14, 2022, 12 p.m.)
The victims from the shooting on Parkview Avenue have been identified as Stephen Lundy, 20 of Knoxville, Kamya Myers, 20 of Knoxville, and Ralph Moore, 88 of Knoxville. Lundy was pronounced dead after arriving at the UT Medical Center, while both Myers and Moore were treated at UTMC for what are believed to be non-life-threatening injuries.
Investigation revealed that Lundy and Myers were shot by an unidentified suspect or suspects while on the porch of the home at 2509 Parkview Avenue. Investigators do not believe that the shooting was random and suspect that it was connected to several recent shootings in Knoxville. Moore, who resides a couple of houses away from where the shooting occurred, was struck by an apparent stray round.
The investigation into the shooting remains ongoing at this time. No suspects have been arrested or charged. Anyone with information that could assist with the investigation is urged to contact East Tennessee Valley Crime Stoppers at 865-215-7165 or online at

Update Regarding Police Pursuit (Thursday, October 13, 2022, 8:55 p.m.)
The two individuals who were detained following the police pursuit are identified as Gary Reagan, 27 of Knoxville, and Deshawn Wyrick, 22 of Knoxville.
A large amount of marijuana, suspected Oxycodone pills and three loaded pistols were found in a subsequent search of the car.
Reagan, who was driving the car during the pursuit, was charged with evading arrest, possessing a firearm during the commission of a dangerous felony and drug charges. Wyrick was charged with possessing a firearm during the commission of a dangerous felony and drug charges.
Following investigation led by the Violent Crimes Unit, it is not believed that either Reagan or Wyrick was involved in the shooting on Parkview Avenue.
The investigation into the shooting is ongoing at this time. At around 12 p.m. on Thursday, October 13, 2022, Knoxville Police Department officers responded to a shooting with multiple victims in the 2500 block of Parkview Avenue, near S. Chestnut Street. Officers arrived in the area, where three gunshot victims were located. The two male victims, age 20 and 88, and one female victim, age 20, were transported to the UT Medical Center. The 20-year-old male was pronounced dead at the hospital, while the 88-year-old man and 20-year-old woman are expected to survive.
Officers who arrived on scene spotted a blue car speeding away from the scene and broadcast a description of that car to Field Operations officers. At around 12:17 p.m., officers located a car matching the description of the possible suspect vehicle on Kingston Pike at Cherokee Boulevard and attempted to initiate a traffic stop. The car refused to stop and a pursuit was initiated.
The pursuit continued for approximately 20 minutes until, at around 12:36 p.m., the car stopped on Dante Road near Kohlston Road. The two occupants of the car were taken into custody without further incident. Knox County Sheriff’s Office deputies and AirWatch assisted in the pursuit. Both occupants were transported to the Safety Building to be questioned by investigators.
The investigation is ongoing at this time.
