A second individual has been arrested and charged as part of the ongoing investigation into the death of Jaqwan Gillette, who was shot and killed on the night of March 28, 2022.
On Thursday, March 31, Community Engagement Response Team officers took a 17-year-old male into custody at an apartment in the 2000 block of Dandridge Avenue on juvenile petitions for attempted first degree murder and attempted aggravated robbery. The investigation revealed that the suspect, who is not being identified due to his juvenile status, was with Shani Harris when the shooting occurred. Harris was also charged with attempted first degree murder and attempted aggravated robbery.
The investigation remains ongoing at this time.
