Knoxville Office of FBI and KPD investigating robbery at Home Federal Bank

The Knoxville Office of the FBI along with the Knoxville Police Department are investigating the robbery of the Home Federal Bank located at 1700 Downtown West Boulevard.

According to the preliminary investigation, at approximately 9:05 this morning a white male entered the bank and approached a teller while holding a piece of paper. The male handed the teller the piece of paper which contained a message demanding money. The teller complied with the demands of the note. The suspect fled the bank on foot. According to witnesses, the suspect was last seen fleeing towards Ray Mears Boulevard.

The male suspect is approximately 6 feet tall with a stocky build. He has brown hair and stubble on his face. He was also wearing a red poncho-style rain jacket.
