Death investigation underway

At around 11:40 a.m. on Wednesday, February 5, investigators with the KPD Violent Crimes Unit and Special Crimes Unit responded to the apartments at 1727 Kim Watt Drive, where the deceased body of a premature male baby was found inside of a residence. The incident is currently being investigated as an unknown/suspicious death and all involved parties are identified.

Knox County Medical Examiner personnel also responded to the scene and the body was taken to the Regional Forensics Center for an autopsy.
