If you've got a suggestion for improving Knoxville Area Transit's downtown trolley service, here's your chance: KAT staff will be reaching out to gather input through "Trolleys on Tap."

That's the handle for a series of listening sessions being held throughout September and part of October at several downtown businesses. "Trolleys on Tap" will feature a large downtown map that lets participants design their own trolley routes and comment on things like when and how the system should run.

The "Trolleys on Tap" schedule:

- Thursday, Sept. 10 - 7:30-9 a.m. at Flow, 603 W. Main St.
- Wednesday, Sept. 16 - 5-6:30 p.m. at Suttree’s, 409 S. Gay St.
- Tuesday, Sept. 22 - 7:30-9 a.m. at OliBea, 119 S. Central St.
- Thursday, Sept. 24 - 7:30-9 a.m. at Café 4, Market Square
- Thursday, Oct. 1 - 5-6:30 p.m. at Flow, 603 W. Main St.
- Wednesday, Oct. 7 - 5-6:30 p.m. at Old City Java, 109 S. Central St.

Can't attend? It's easy to share your ideas. Take an online survey by clicking http://www.surveymonkey.com/r/KAT-Trolley.

Check a new KAT trolley blog - www.knoxvilletn.gov/katblog - for updates. A summary of input from each "Trolleys on Tap" listening session can be found here, as well as any eventual proposed changes.

“The trolleys are such an important part of our downtown, so we really want to hear from the public about what’s working, what’s not, and what they’d like to see,” says Dawn Distler, Director of Transit for the City of Knoxville. “We have designed this input process to be fun and engaging and also accessible to anyone who wants to comment.”
