Public Works Director David Brace Wins Tennessee Chapter APWA Award 
Congratulations to David Brace, Senior Director of Public Works, for his recent recognition from the Tennessee Chapter of the American Public Works Association.

David Brace, Senior Director of Public WorksBrace received the chapter's W. Larry Eddins Award and was praised for his efforts to involve his staff with Tennessee Chapter APWA initiatives and to bolster professional training opportunities. Brace has chaired the TCAPWA Education Committee for two years and has coordinated educational sessions at chapter conferences.

Brace, who had served three years as Knoxville's Public Service Director, was promoted to Senior Director of Public Works last September.

He supervises five City departments: Engineering, Fleet Services, Parks and Recreation, Plans Review and Inspections, and Public Service. Those departments have 525 employees combined and more than $90 million in budgeted resources.
