KAT Shuttles to UT Football ...
KAT Shuttles to UT Football Games Tops 10,000 Riders
Congratulations to KAT, whose shuttles to and from University of Tennessee football games are putting up big Saturday numbers!
The record-setting ridership is getting some attention, both here in Knoxville and in a national mass transit publication.
Here's a shout-out from Mass Transit magazine:

And reported Friday on WVLT Channel 8:

KAT’s football shuttle posted more than 10,000 passenger trips for the game against Western Carolina - a 3-year record for game shuttle ridership. In this season's first two games, KAT has carried 1,200 additional passengers over 2014 - or more than 4,200 additional passengers when compared with two years ago.
The shuttle fare is $6 round-trip from downtown locations (the Civic Coliseum garage, the Old City and Krutch Park) and $16 round-trip from Farragut High School. The most popular of the four shuttle locations continues to be the Civic Coliseum garage, followed by the Krutch Park location.
“It’s great to see UT fans enjoying downtown attractions along with an easy shuttle to the game,” says Dawn Distler, the City of Knoxville’s Director of Transit. “It’s a reliable, stress-free way to reach the game.”
Shuttles begin three hours prior to kickoff and run several hours after the game.
