KPD Seeking Qualified Applicants for Open Police Grants and Planning Manager Position 
The Knoxville Police Department is seeking qualified applicants for an open Police Grants and Planning Manager position. Applications are being accepted until 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, June 1. Prior experience at a law enforcement agency is preferred but not required.  
 
The Police Grants and Planning Manager is responsible for working with the Chief of Police to coordinate and plan future department needs and initiate the development of programs, identify available federal and state grant funding opportunities, and conduct research, prepare reports and deliver presentations on behalf of the Knoxville Police Department among other administrative roles as assigned. 
 
The minimum requirements include a Bachelor’s degree in social sciences, public or business administration, or a related field from a C.H.E.A. accredited college or university and at least three years of experience in grants administration or management, or a Master’s degree and at least one year of experience in grants administration or management.
