East Tennessee Valley Crime ...
East Tennessee Valley Crime Stoppers Increases Reward for Info on Double Homicide to $5,000
One year ago, in the early hours of January 18, 2021, Knoxville Police Department officers responded to the Mag Lounge located on E. Magnolia Avenue, where one gunshot victim was located on scene, transported to the UT Medical Center and pronounced dead. Officers also learned that a second gunshot victim had arrived at the Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center via a personal vehicle, and he too was pronounced dead.
25-year-old Jonah Caldwell left behind a mother, sister and grandparents, while 23-year-old Marquis Nolan left behind two children, his parents and siblings. Both Jonah and Marquis’s families and friends continue to grieve the sudden loss of these two young men.
On the first anniversary of their murders, those family members and friends are asking for anyone with information to come forward and submit a tip to East Tennessee Valley Crime Stoppers, which is available 24/7 by phone at 865-215-7165, online at
www.easttnvalleycrimestoppers.org
or via the P3 Tips mobile app. Anyone who submits a tip regarding the murder of Jonah and Marquis will remain completely anonymous and be eligible for a cash reward of up to $5,000.
Investigators indicated that a lot of people were at the Mag Lounge on the night of the shooting and that any information could assist in the continued advancement of the investigation, to include any pictures or videos taken from inside or outside of the Mag Lounge from the night of January 17 into the early hours of January 18. Investigators believe the suspect may be in the Detroit, Michigan area and travels back and forth between Detroit and Knoxville.
