– KUB contract crews will close a short section of Blackstock Avenue between the Western Avenue overpass and Hannah Street from 5 p.m., January 12, through 5 p.m., Monday, January 29, as work is performed on the water distribution system in the area. Alternate routes include Western Avenue, Broadway, and Oak Avenue. Access to local businesses will be maintained, and flaggers and signs will be on site to assist with traffic control.

(West Knoxville) Road Closure – Piney Grove Church Road [Extended, January 15-19] – KUB contract crews will implement a road closure of a short section of Piney Grove Church Road between Ferd Hickey Road and N. Forest Road daily, from 7 a.m. – 5 p.m., starting Monday, January 15, through Friday, January 19, as work is performed on the wastewater collection system in the area. Alternate routes include Glade Hill Drive, Ferd Hickey Road, Granda Drive, W. Forest Boulevard, and Middlebrook Pike. Appropriate signage and flaggers will be on site to assist with traffic control. No work will occur on weekends, and all roadways will reopen outside of work hours. Follow-up advisories will be issued as necessary.

Some listed closures may extend beyond the scheduled times depending on the conditions encountered during excavation and construction. Appropriate traffic control measures will be in place at each location to assist motorists traveling in these areas. Due to the ongoing presence of workers and equipment, motorists are advised to use caution and expect temporary delays in these areas.
