Knox County Public Library's 12th year of Movies on Market Square kicks off this Friday, September 11 with Driving Miss Daisy (PG, 1989). Starring Jessica Tandy, Morgan Freeman, and Dan Aykroyd, the film is a funny, touching and totally irresistible story of a working relationship that became a 25-year friendship. Free and open to the public, Movies on Market Square begins at dusk, and well behaved dogs are welcome. Moviegoers should bring a lawn chair or blanket to sit on.
The outdoor movie series, presented by Lusid Media, will continue on Fridays in September and October:
September 18: Rio (G, 2011)
September 25: Night at the Museum (PG, 2006)
October 2: No Movie - Free Black Lillies concert on Market Square
October 9: Hotel Transylvania (PG, 2012)
October 16: A League of Their Own (PG, 1992)
