This weekend kicks off the City's free "Summer Concert Series," held on Sundays at 3 p.m.
The Knoxville Community Recreation Band, sponsored by the City of Knoxville, will perform in Market Square, Victor Ashe Park, the Cove, and West Hills Park this summer.
Consisting of more than 40 members who have participated in high school, college, or professional bands, the Knoxville Community Recreation Band plays a variety of light classical, festive, and marching songs.
This summer will mark the 53rd year for this well-practiced band.
All concerts will be held at 3 p.m. Sundays on the following dates:
June 3 - Market Square
June 10 - West Hills Park
June 24 - The Cove in Concord Park
July 8 - The Cove in Concord Park
