Community Development administers a variety of programs and projects geared toward the revitalization of Knoxville's low-to-moderate income neighborhoods.
The Engineering Department is involved in the design and construction of city projects.
Policy and Redevelopment
The Department of Policy & Redevelopment's mission is to enhance the climate for quality growth through the strategic development of incentives and the involvement of appropriate organizations, individuals, and the public in the policy making process.
The South Waterfront Department is tasked with implementing the Vision Plan - to create a safe, secure, attractive, and walkable series of mixed use developments that complement and connect to the downtown and the university.
